Features 9 ornate puffed bezel cup links each set with an oval-cut gemstone. The wide oval links are decorated with floral/scroll cutout designs and hand-etched accents. They are double linked in a single strand with one oval link in between each setting and secure with a stylized box clasp closure. The clasp insert connects to one of the end settings with two 3-link strands and the other end setting acts as the actual box.
The beautiful blue/purple gemstones dazzle in contrast to the yellow gold links and change colors depending on the light. When indoors or out of direct light the stone has a an almost navy blue tone, but outside in direct light it turns a vibrant purple color similar to amethyst. They're probably simulated as most alexandrite stones on the market are, but only an expertly trained eye would be able to tell the difference.
The bracelet is made from solid 14k gold but the puffed link style allows the piece to remain lightweight and comfortable. All the stones remain secure in their settings with minimal scuffs/scratches. There are no hallmarks or makers marks on the piece, so we're not certain of its age or origin, but it looks to be skillfully handmade with art deco influences. Overall this bracelet is in great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and discoloration.
