Vintage Hallmarked 10K Alexandrite Solitaire Ring, Color Changing Stone, Ornate Yellow Gold Split Shank, Size 6 1/4 US

Stunning 10k yellow gold solitaire ring with a gorgeous emerald-cut alexandrite stone. The ring has a slender gold band with an elegant split-shank and a square claw setting that holds the faceted color-changing gemstone. The stone's color is grayish-blue when not in direct light, and a more vibrant purple when illuminated (as seen in most of the photos). The alexandrite may be lab-created so we cannot guarantee the authenticity of the stone, but the inner gold band has been hallmarked and the gold was acid tested for validity. Two out of the four pronged hands that close over the corners of the gemstone are broken. This doesn't affect the security of the gemstone as it still sits securely in the setting but it is something to note. Other than that this ring is quite pretty and in great vintage condition with minor wear and discoloration.
