An incredibly charming and well-crafted miniature chainmail coin purse/pill-box keychain charm. These tiny storage charms were made for chatelaine's, a decorative belt hook or clasp worn at the waist with a series of chains for useful household appendages such as thimbles, watches, keys, pills, and household seals. The gilt mesh bag has a flap lid with an ornate hinged clasp so it can securely hold your tiny treasures/secrets. It hangs from a chain connected to a clip with little engraved detail and can be attached to almost anything. A great collectible/unique accessory from the mid-1900s, and in good vintage condition with some minor wear and discoloration.
