Vintage 14K Gold Essex Crystal Equestrian Brooch Pin

We have a lovely 14k yellow gold Essex crystal equestrian brooch with a miniature hand-painted horse and jockey portrait. This pin would make a great gift for an equestrian jewelry collector, or the horse girl next door. These pieces require painstaking work for the artist, who carves, polishes, and paints the inside of the rock crystal. The glass cabochon is bezel set in the center of an oval yellow gold frame comprised of polished hollow tubes and woven accents. The gold has been acid tested for authenticity as well as a '14k' mark on the fastener clasp. Essex crystal remains detailed and intact with no notable damage. In good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and discoloration.
