As striking sterling silver ancient greek 'Alexander The Great' coin pendant collar necklace. Comprised of a wide bismark chain with a fixed octagonal bezel pendant and lobster claw clasp. The pendant boasts a silver cast (replica) of a Macedonian coin designed by Alexander The Great. The coin features a raised portrait of Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, on the front, and Nike, the winged goddess of victory, on the back.

The necklace bails are hallmarked 'Y.11 925', but we we're not able to find any details on its age or origin. Most likely a mid-century piece from Italy or Greece. There is some tarnishing to portions of the silver (mostly on the back of pendant and in between links), but overall the necklace remains in good vintage condition.
