An expectational hand-made mixed-media abstract modernist brooch pin. Features a hammered sterling silver frame with gold-wire and copper embellishments and gemstone cabochon accents. A crescent shape sits inside the frame with a small circle cutout that reveals a metallic purple/blue backing. The silver has a metallic brushed finish and pops against the polished gold accents. The red/pink and purple cabochons are bezel set in circular frames and may be simulated or natural.
The back of the pin is signed and dated by the artist, but it's tough to make out the inscription and we were not able to find any details about the artist. Regardless, it is a beautiful and unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry. In great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and discoloration.
