Original Signed Jess Rafael Soto 'Caroni' Limited Edition Op Art Sculpture, Wood & Aluminum, 19.5" H

We have an extremely rare and unique original signed Jess Rafael Soto (1923-2005) 'Caroni' limited edition sculpture. Made from wood and aluminum, this rectangular optical illusion sculpture features 8 moving/vibrating posted squares. The piece bears a title/COA card on the base from The Pollock Gallery Limited of Toronto (see photos). They have labeled this piece with a "Caroni" title. Based on research of similar pieces, this sculpture can also be associated with the 1969 "Jai-Alai" series by Soto and has been seen as titled "Multiple V". Condition:

The piece is in fair condition overall. Notably, there are heavy table scuffs here and there, deep scratches, chips, dings and gouges that would indicate hard wear. Several of the aluminum panels have been broken off along with their wooden rectangular dowels and re-glued. We did our best to highlight these damages in the photos.
