An extremely rare and unique, original 1980's Arteluce "Palio" dimmer table desk lamp set of 2 made in Italy. Both pieces are signed at the base by Arteluce. This "Palio" design is from the 1980s and the brainchild of designers Perry A. King and Santiago Miranda. Of particular note on this set are the very unique and rare curved copper sliding shades and dimmer function. Both lamps are WORKING. They are actuated on/off by the original rotary knobs on the front of each lamp. This is a truly beautiful set that would make a discerning addition to any collection or home. *AN IMPORTANT NOTE ON THESE LAMPS*
We are not experts in the assessment or evaluation of electrical devices. We determined the condition of this set to be functional based on the engagement of the on/off rotary knob with the light itself. The rotary knob actuates as it should, turning the lamp on and off and dimming the light as desired. THE BULBS ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS PURCHASE.
Condition:
These lamps are in good condition overall for their age. The copper shades on each lamp are both fully intact and functional. They display heat smudges inside and minor oxidation of the copper. They also display minor bends and dings on the edges. Both of the opaline glass panels on each lamp remain intact, however, one has a major crack (see photos). The lamp bodies themselves display no chips, cracks or major damages. One of the lamps does display an area of paint damage near the rotary knob. We have highlighted this also in the listing photos. The base and wiring of each lamp remain fully intact and stable. Each plug is marked 10 Amp - 125 Volt. The original cords and plugs remain intact, functional and display no signs of rips, tears or fraying to the wiring or the outer wrap. There is also minor scuffing and gentle overall wear from age present on each piece. Please look over all photos carefully and ask any questions that you may have.
