The rectangular red stone has a flat beveled top and sits flush in a half-bezel setting with engraved yellow gold ring shoulders. The ring settings definitely has a more masculine geometric look, but the engraved details and gold foil embellishment add a nice dainty touch.
Given the delicate, half-bezel style setting, the stone can easily knocked out of place, but it's also super easy to re-set. There is some minor wear to the face. and exposed edges of the stone, but its remains solid with the gold foil inlay intact.
We believed the red stone is a spinel but we are not gemstone experts. The inner band is hallmarked 10K and the gold has been acid tested for authenticity. In good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and discoloration.
