Condition: Good

We have an incredibly well-preserved antique english sterling silver nurses belt buckle. Created during the late 19th century by Rosenthal, Jacob & Co., a silver-makers firm based in London, England. Features a large rectangular sterling silver buckle with a baroque flower designs, faceted details, and hand-engraved accents. The back of the buckle is fitted with a hinged silver frame and 2 spiked prongs. Based on its configuration, the buckle is designed to be worn vertically and fits up to a 10mm thick belt.
Both the front and back of the buckle is stamped with the makers mark 'JR over SJ', but there is not a full set of hallmarks. Given its age, the silver has a natural gray patina and some minor tarnishing, but the rich depth of the baroque design remains. Overall this piece is in great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and discoloration.
