Very beautiful antique Chinese porcelain dragon bowl and wood pedestal from the Daoguang period. This previous owner acquired this amazing piece in 1960 from an antique shop in Hong Kong. It is believed to be from the Daoguang period during the Ming dynasty. The decorative square bowl is a bright blue/green hue and features hand-painted stylized Chinese dragons, floral arrangements, and eccentric pink cat-shaped handles. The bowl comes with its original wooden base that fits perfectly to the bottom of the dish. There is a Chinese hallmark on the bottom of the dish that indicates which emperor it was made under. This exquisite piece has remained vibrant with no notable imperfections to its structure. The card seen in the photos was presented with the ceramic piece however we believe it attributes the bowl to incorrect time period as the hallmark belongs to the Daoguang period and not the Chia Ching period.
