Super cute 14k enamel Mano Figa charm pendant in yellow gold. The fisted hand motif is originally an Etruscan Italian talisman to ward off the evil eye. Mano means hand and Figa means fig, a slang term for female genitalia. The gesture is undeniably a reference to heterosexual sex, but some people like to think of it as a symbolic middle finger.


The polished yellow-gold hand is hollow and features a black enamel bracelet and red-painted nails (one of the nails has lost its enamel). The design is somewhat crude so you can see the reminiscence of soldering marks. The gold bail is hallmarked 'NT 14K' and the gold has been acid tested for authenticity. There are a few minor dings to the gold facade but nothing of serious note. Overall the charm is in great vintage condition with minor wear and discoloration.
