Vintage 14KP Gold Diamond Accent Dolphin Brooch/Pendant
A dazzling 14k gold porpoise dolphin brooch pendant with a bright green emerald gemstone and diamond accents. The dolphin features a textured yellow gold body, a polished gold beak and pectoral fin, a 2mm round-cut emerald eye, and a diamond-studded dorsal fin and tail. There are 10 diamonds total, 3 on the fin and 7 on the tail, all fixed in white gold illusions settings with wonderful collective sparkle. The brooch is secured with a standard gold pin fastener, but it can also be worn as a pendant via a hidden necklace loop on the back. The back of the tail has been stamped '14KP', aka plumb gold (plumb means 'true' and was used as a notation starting in 1981 to ensure gold karats were accurately represented), and we have gold acid tested the piece for authenticity.
