Natural Blue Turquoise Brooch In 14K Yellow Gold, Large Bezel-Set Turquoise Cabochon, Estate Jewelry, 36mm

A gorgeous Etruscan revival natural turquoise brooch set in 14k yellow gold. Features a large turquoise cabochon with ocean blue colors and a matrix of inclusions that reminds of the world map. The stone sits in an oval bezel-setting with woven gold trim and an open back. The brooch is secured with a modern style safety catch and has a gold wire prong to help it remain fixed in place. It looks like the catch may have been replaced and or repaired at some point given the solder marks around it. There are no notable hallmarks but the gold has been acid tested for authenticity. In great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and discoloration.
